Recycling Guide

Done using your planner? Being kind to the environment is part of WAAV’s mission. Follow the instructions below on how to recycle your WAAV planner, and find a fun tip below for how to repurpose your planner!

1) Remove the wire binding from your planner and set it aside. Next, separate all the components of your planner by like materials (think paper, plastic, metal, and non-recyclable elements).

2) Your interior pages, tabs, and storage pocket is one pile that will go into the “Paper” recycling bin.

3) Your second pile includes flexible covers and snap-in rulers (if you choose not to reuse your snap-in bookmark) and should be placed in the “Plastics” recycling bin.

4) Your wire binding should be placed in the “Metals” recycling bin.

5) What remains will be any sticker sheets, hardbound covers, or blank protective laminate pages (on select planners). These items should be placed in the regular trash bin, as they cannot be recycled at this time.

Repurpose Your WAAV Planner

Recycling or repurposing this planner is one of the easiest ways to lower your carbon footprint! Here is another idea we love for repurposing the pages of your WAAV planner – personalized wrapping paper for birthdays!

1) Remove the monthly spreads from your planner and trim the edges.

2) Mark the day of your friend or loved one’s birthday (if you haven’t already).

3) Wrap the present with their birthday visibly featured on the package (small packages are ideal).

4) Finish with some beautiful fabric ribbon that can be repurposed for your hair or other presents!
